I currently work as a video game voice designer at Ubisoft, and have been there since fall 2019, overseeing everything to do with dialogue, including design, recording, implementation, and much more in a AAA game environment.
Previous to that, I worked in the film and TV audio post-production industry for about ten years at various studios and freelancing. Most of my experience lies in editing (dialogue, music, sound effects) and sound designing within Pro Tools, as well as recording voice overs in-studio. I've also had some experience mixing TV, recording foley, composing for commercials and TV, and dialogue editing for video games.
I worked Studio 18, a postproduction facility in Etobicoke, from 2013-2019, where I honed my skills on shows such as The Amazing Race Canada and Top Chef Canada.
I attended the Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology, graduating in 2009. I already had a strong music background, but OIART taught me the technical skills I needed for a career in audio. We had extensive training in Pro Tools, recording techniques, audio for pictures, sound design, live sound, and acoustics, with supporting instruction in math, music, and computers. Before that, I studied music (classical composition and piano) and computer science at Western University.
